A great way to save money this New Year is to start bargin hunting and what better place to do this than at a thrift store.  You never know what kind of treasures you'll find.  It could be unique house decor item, vintage jewlery or designer clothes at a not so designer price.  As a bonus, it can be an enviromentally friendly shopping option and you could be helping your community.

Some thrift stores are charities who use the sales and items from the store to help those their are passionate about helping.  If this is important to you as well, be sure to ask the thrift store employees what their community involvement is. 

So when are the best times to hit up a thrift store?  Sale days, stocking days and weekdays!
