I love the concept of wisdom, it is such a powerful thing to study. Wisdom in a nutshell is being able to know what to do, at the right time, for the right reason with the information you have. Solomon reminded us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom is a gift of God. It starts with Him and ends with Him. Like faith, wisdom can grow through the study and application of the Word of God, the Bible. Wisdom allows you to see things clearly so when applied through the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit it is a powerful tool for God. Wise men understand that they are not the end all or be all. Wise men know that God is their source and their help. A wise person is always ready to learn and be transparent. Wise people know that quality is always better than quantity. Wise people know that this life is just a practice for the real thing, eternity. Wise people know that they have a purpose in life that revolves around God and not us. Wise people know they have to live their lives so well that the preacher does not have to lie at their funeral. Wisdom knows that what we do here does effect our eternity. The writer of Hebrews say, "We have but one life and then judgment." Wisdom says, "I will live my life so well that when I stand before the Lord I will hear one phrase, well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into my rest." The question is, "are you wise?"
