I am amazed how many of us who have the greatest message hardly of ever tell others. There was a survey done a number of years ago asking people when was the last time they invited someone to church. The alarming fact was that on average it will take the a Christian 29 years to invite someone to church. This is scary on two levels. First, to have such a great message and not tell someone is bad enough but secondly, to not realize what is at stake is pure selfishness. You ask me, "What is at stake?" Simple, a person's soul. Every person we know or meet has an eternal destiny and the responsibility for telling them is ours. Jesus told us to love God with our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. True love wants everyone to have a great life and future. A great life and future is with Jesus Christ forever. To not tell otherrs is a violation of the great commandment and the great commission which is to go into our world and preach the gospel. We have been entrusted with the message of Jesus Christ by God. If we fail, many will go to a lost eternity. That is one thing I do not want to have held against me when I stand and give an account of my life. I hope this would be your wish as well.
